Turning Point Psychology Center, Inc. is a telehealth practice. We bill many major plans and also support out-of-network benefits through Thrizer.
In-network plans
Plans commonly accepted by the practice include:
- Aetna (nationwide contract)
- Cigna / Evernorth (nationwide contract)
- Anthem / Blue Cross
- Blue Shield of California
- Carelon Behavioral Health, including Empire BlueCross BlueShield (New York) and EmblemHealth plans managed by Carelon
- Optum / United Healthcare
- TriCare West & East
- Medicare (Original Medicare telehealth; Medicare Advantage plans are not accepted)
- MHN / HealthNet
Network status can vary by clinician and state. Our intake team confirms benefits after you create a client portal account.
Out-of-network & Thrizer
If your plan is out of network, we provide superbills and partner with Thrizer so reimbursement paperwork is easier. Some Thrizer options allow you to pay nothing up front for sessions when your OON benefits allow it.
General cash-pay ranges
- Professional hour: $225–$400
- Standard session: $175–$350
- Half session: $100–$200
- Groups: $40–$75
Sliding scale fees are available, and very low fees are offered for services with our health care students (supervised trainees). Health care students are supervised by Dr. Melissa Stolsig, Psy.D., with her license for the client’s state (CA PSY30738; NY 025532; CO PSY.0005510; FL TPPY1024; NV PY1137; VA 0810008494).
Start with New Client Registration so we can verify coverage and match you with an associate clinician. Dr. Melissa Stolsig completes the initial appointment with every new client; follow-up care continues with a well-matched associate clinician.
Associate clinicians practice under clinical supervision. California associates are supervised by Dr. Melissa Stolsig, Psy.D. (CA PSY30738) and, when listed on Meet the Team, also by Ms. Eileen Joy Esporo, LCSW (CA LCSW71415).
